Dormer windows

A dormer window is the additional extension to a loft conversion, which juts out of the roof of the property at an angle. They can add dimension and value to your property, as well as add a little extra space to your room.

Different types of dormer:
  • Gable fronted dormer - these are sometimes called a doghouse dormer
  • Hipped roof dormer - a dormer with a hipped roof
  • Flat roof dormer - believe it or not, it has a flat roof!
  • Shed dormer - a single planed roof that is pitched at a shallower angle to the main roof
